Blob Entry: What Is RIght With the World?

By now I am sure that we can all agree that more times than often there is something wrong with the world rather than right. We run into wrongs all day from terrorism all the way down to just plain rude people. Call me an optimist but I like to believe that there is still some good in the world. At my job I deal with a lot of different people so customer service is a key part of it. Therefore I pretty much say, "Hi, how are you?" "How may I help you?" and "Have a good day?" all day. On an average 4-5 hour shift, I probably great over a hundred people. The other day this guy comes in and of course I ask, "Hi, how are you?". He answers "I'm good but how are you today?". Naturally i reply saying, "I'm great, thanks for asking!" but the thing that tripped out was he actually said "I bet you don't get that often". What made it so strange was that I had never really thought about it up until then, and he was right. Out of the hundred plus people I greet, normally I just get a smile or a thank you and many don't even respond at all, but no one had ever taken the time to ask about me. That's when I realized that even though there maybe a lot of wrongs, there are still those small, few rights that will always give me hope in mankind.
